MEDIAEDGE High Speed Box Camera

The MediaEdge QDCAM is a high-speed box camera for sports shooting. It features quad-link 3G-SDI with up to 240FPS capture in Full HD (1080p) or 60FPS in UHD (2160p). To avoid the motion distortion often found in high-speed capture, the QDCAM employs a global shutter CMOS sensor.

Unlike some more expensive box cameras, MediaEdge designed this camera with the popular “Micro Four Thirds” lens mount system, which allows customers to choose an affordable lens from the dozens of options available on the market. This helps lower the cost for implementing high-speed capture by making the combination of camera and lens more affordable.

Continuous 4X high-speed video for smooth slow-motion replay or accurate sports analysis. Quad-link SDI can be connected to major slow-motion recording/players such as EVS, Avid, and vMix Replay.

High resolution shooting: 4096×2160/24p, 3840×2160/60p,50p

QDCAM can also be used for 4K cinema production or UHD video production.

Synchronization System

MediaEdge has a patent pending technology for synchronizing the exposure timing of multiple cameras. This makes it suitable as a multi-angle view system or sports judgement system.

Micro four thirds lens mount

High-quality lenses with various focal lengths can be used. Remote control of Iris and Focus are available through this popular format.

Optical transmission option using SMTPE optical-camera cable

Optical transmission option allows it to be used for sports broadcasting in a stadium or an arena.

Fan-less operation

The QDCAM features a fanless cooling design with no audible noise.
